As we wrap up 2018 and our second season of the Gloss Over Podcast, Meaghan and I had the brilliant idea to serve you up with our favorite episodes since we started this passion project in August 2018.

Here are our top 5 out of total 21 episodes so far, along with a little explanation from each of us about why we picked the ones we did.

This collection makes up about an hour of listening pleasure for y’all! Go ahead, treat yourself, listen in and enjoy!

Season 1 / Episode 1: Genesis

Released August 15, 2018

Why We Love It

Caroline: This is the original episode, where it all started.  I was so nervous when we hit that record button the first time.  I had no idea what we were about to create and I love listening to it again to reminisce about how we met, how this project started and how far we have come.  I’m proud of our mutual commitment to each other and to making this project happen, week after week.

Meaghan: I love that Caroline didn’t say “no” to my crazy idea!  I was also super grateful for the rad equipment we had for our pilot.  It was really impressive to me how easily we “worked” together.  We were in total alignment and I was buzzing with excitement, not prosecco!

Season 1 / Episode 4: Self-Care (Part 1) / Working on It

Released August 15, 2018

Why We Love It

Caroline: I love this episode because it’s hilarious.  Especially the realization I have at about 6:10…

Meaghan: This is so great.  It’s packed with good info and it’s BEYOND funny.  At least I think so.

Season 2 / Episode 13: Back to Business, Personal & Business Strategies for Social Media

Released November 6, 2018

Why We Love It

Caroline: Not gonna lie, I don’t love this episode.  I think I was drinking wine when we recorded it, so I’m on the slow train getting my thoughts out.  But sober Meaghan is on point.  The real reason it’s on this list is that it was the most popular episode of the year with 537 listeners at last count.

Meaghan: Stoked on this one because Caroline lead the way for me to share some cool insights about the ‘gram!  Also, why don’t I have more followers?

Season 2 / Episode 18: Productivity and Social Media

Released December 4, 2018

Why We Love It

Caroline: I love it because it’s a manifestation of Meaghan’s strategy for growing her business using social media, her commitment to it, her discipline in execution and her passion for sharing her knowledge with and helping others.  Love you boo, proud of you.

Meaghan: Digital strategist, Caroline was for sure the inspiration for this episode for me.  When you roll with her, you better come correct, Honey!  I hope I did.

Season 2 / Episode 20: Minimalism, Christmas and Advertising

Released December 18, 2018

Why We Love It

Caroline: While it’s not the best sound quality (I was abroad when we recorded it and it was hard to remote calibrate the voice tracks with my road equipment), I love this episode because it’s hilarious.  We are 100% authentic, opening up about a hectic yet blissful time of year, and having a blast doing it.  As a bonus, count the times we make the use of a version of the word “practical”…

Meaghan: I had the realization after re-listening to this episode that I sound like the life of the party.  >>sarcasm<<  I am who I am kids: just a girl with ugly luggage who loves to save money.  And I’m more than OK with her.

In our come back episode (#80), @fleurtmeaghan and I talk about what we were up to during our 2020 hiatus.

For me, it was about slowing down, getting clarity about myself, realizing how few things are actually worthy of my energy and about resting and healing post back surgery.

We are on The Voices Collection and everywhere you consume your podcasts.

Introducing The Dance Floor @ #Club1670. It is a Introducing The Dance Floor @ #Club1670.

It is a project a very long time in the making. I had a suspicion I would eventually replace the carpet when at 27 years old, I set my mind (and all my savings) on winning the real estate bidding war on #300.

I had no idea it would take me 17 years, 5 dogs, several Friendsgivings, countless parties, 6 jobs, a global pandemic and all the beautiful messes we made along the way to get here.

I wanted to bring #Europe to #Reston with a herringbone wood floor. Then, I realized the impracticality and rarity of this gorgeous craft in #America. It made no sense to invest in it for The Club.

Finally, it was this engineered wood called Seaside I selected. I knew I made the right decision when I turned the sample around and saw its country of origin: #Germany 🖤❤️💛.

It’s even better than I had imagined.
